Our Frontier Flagstone is from our quarry near Harlowtown, Montana and is a variety of sandstone. Montana Flagstone is the perfect rock to create stair treads, hearthstones, patio and flooring stone, as well oversize blocks perfect for retaining walls and landscape features. It is the perfect finishing feature for your home or business.
Our basalt rock is quarried near Livingston, Montana. Basalt is a rock formed from lava, but it isn’t as porous as the lava rock you find in Hawaii. Basalt can be used for riprap to improve stream and riverbeds, while the large pieces are used for retaining walls.
Typically quarried in 22″ or 27″ heights but a variety of rectangle and square shapes, these boulders are the perfect addition to a challenging slope at a property as a retaining wall. They can also be used to create terraces and seating.
